Jimbaran, Bali – January 20th, 2025 – Movenpick Resort & Spa Jimbaran Bali, a premium five-star hotel under the Accor Hotel International, held a special event titled “Breakfast for Breakfast (B for B)” at the Anarasa Restaurant.

The initiative, spearheaded by Movenpick Bali’s Director of Rooms, Agung Prawista, was warmly embraced by Accor as part of the group’s commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). Marking its second edition and the first for 2025, the B for B program aims to become a biannual event, with hopes of increasing its frequency to every three months, depending on hotel occupancy levels.

“Our goal is for the community members we invite, to share a breakfast experience at Movenpick Bali during the same time as our hotel guests, so they can truly savour the atmosphere of a five-star breakfast, something not everyone has the chance to experience,” said Agung Prawista during the event.

For this edition, Movenpick Bali invited students from SDN 7 Jimbaran, a local elementary school situated just across from the hotel. Movenpick Resort & Spa Jimbaran Bali remains dedicated to supporting the well-being of the local community, which it views as one of a key priority. The “Breakfast for Breakfast” initiative is inspired by the untouched breakfasts of hotel guests. Often, guests who book rooms with breakfast included may choose not to claim their meal.

Rather than letting these meals go to waste or the hotel generating additional revenue from them, Movenpick has opted to redirect these resources to create meaningful experiences for those in need.

With the motto “We Make Moments,” Movenpick aims to offer more than just a meal. It strives to provide a unique and luxurious breakfast experience, one often considered a privilege by many, including the students of SDN 7 Jimbaran.

This event was graced by the presence of the Regent of Badung, represented by the Head of the Department of Social Affairs, A.A. Ngurah Raka Sukdana, alongside I Nyoman Rai Dyatmika, Head of the Social Rehabilitation Division of the same department. From the Bali Provincial Government, Ni Luh Herawati, Chair of the Certification Standards Team for Tourism and Creative Economy Industries

(SSU) of the Bali Tourism Department, also attended. Both the provincial and regency governments expressed their appreciation for Movenpick Resort & Spa Jimbaran Bali’s social initiative, encouraging other industry players in Bali’s tourism sector to follow suit.

Hotel Manager Risya Wulansari highlighted that this CSR event would be held regularly, with future invitations extended to other organizations, particularly those supporting the underprivileged and marginalized communities. “Through this initiative, we aim to show that even the smallest acts of kindness can have a significant impact on someone’s life. We hope to inspire others to do the same,” she remarked. ***
